International e-Conference „Children’s Right to rest and leisure time”, which will be held on 21-
The World Organisation for Early Childhood Education (OMEP), works for the world which respects children’s rights to healthy and happy life. The organisation recognises education as a fundamental right and a tool of assuring other rights of the child. OMEP is acting to make states and societies meet their obligations of assuring just and common access to hight-quality education for all children. Ideas of key role of education for quality of life and development of the whole world are shared by the world of science, hence the partnership of Polish Committee of OMEP and Adam Mickiewicz University in organising the Conference.
We addressed the invitation to participate in the event to all people who feel responsible for the quality of children’s development and those who are ready to share their interests and experiences in this area. We hope for an international exchange of good practices, constructive and creative ideas, scientific reflection and research results that will contribute to increasing the professional awareness of conference participants in the service of children.
We planned the conference for two days and we decided to create an opportunity to listen to lectures and presentations by representatives of academia and teachers from around the world. Invited guests will be from: USA, Italy, Iceland, Sweden and Cyprus, among others. The plenary sessions will be conducted in English. On the second day of the conference, scientists from Poland and members of the Polish Committee of the World Organization for Preschool Education will present solutions for the organization of rest and free time for children. On this day, the conference will be held in Polish.
We are looking forward meeting with all the participants of the conference. We believe this meeting will bring all of us a satisfaction both in scientific and social dimensions. We also believe that this experience will help in popularisation of best practices and solutions in wider educational work with children and for children.
