Renata Michalak

Prof. UAM dr hab. Renata Michalak works at Faculty of Educational Studies, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan. Her scientific interests are focused on optimalisation of the process of education, didactics based on constructivism, alternative concepts of education, strategies in active learning, cognitive competences of students, integrated education, primary science education, education for sustainable development, outdoor education and cognitive science.
She is the author, co-author or editor of over 100 scientific publications and over 80 conference presentations, as well as the author or participant in international projects of TEMPUS, SMART, TASK-FORCE, and NETWOORK programs. Coordinator or expert in national and regional projects on education, supported from Ministry of Education and Science or from the EU EFS Found. Coordinator of national research program on the model of schools of practice, in cooperation with the ministerial agency, Centre for Development of Education.
Member of the Group for Elementary Education at Pedagogical Sciences Committee of Polish Academy of Science; Member of the Polish Association Dalton. Vice-president of Polish Committee of OMEP. In 2011 government expert of legislative act on nursery care system in Poland.
Editor of quarterly magazine Inspiracje Daltońskie (Dalton Inspirations). Head of Postgraduate Studies Alternative Education.
