Deborah Kayton Michals

Deborah Kayton Michals, President of Learn With Action, USA, is author of the “Active Learning for Preschoolers” series in Literacy, Math, Motor Skills and Nutrition (Gryphon House/Kaplan Early Learning Company 2013), written in consultation with the Yale University Rudd Center, in use internationally, and included in the U.S. Let’s Move/Nemours database. Deborah consults and presents on the connection between movement and content-specific materials linked to standards, including national as well as professional development conferences for the U.S. National Association for the Education of Young Children, the U.S. National Head Start Association, the U.S. Early Head Start Association, Nemours Child Development Center, Edulearn Barcelona and OMEP International USA and Greece,OMEP USA and US CT School Readiness board. Deborah has designed and directed programs at institutions including the Educational Alliance, 14th and 92nd St YMCA’s, and as a visiting professor at Yale University. LWA sends teachers into schools to teach and test materials in movement and learning. Deborah holds a BA, Yale University and an MFA, New York University.
